1 : Engagement of Poland with the sea

Engagement of Poland with the sea was the symbolic celebration of Polish access to the sea.

The first time it was celebrated in February 10, 1920 by general Jozef Haller de Hallenburg in Puck.

The second times, it was repeated by Polish army in 1945 in newly captured Kolobrzeg.

The celebration was marked by the military flag bathed in the seawater, while the army commander drops the ring into the sea. The speeches usually underlined the importance of the sea access to proper economic development of the country.
