1 : Casper the Friendly Ghost
Casper the Friendly Ghost is the main character of the cartoon of the same name, which originated with an 1945 short from Paramount. As his name indicates, he is a ghost, but is quite friendly. He tends not to frighten children.
Casper has also been the main character in a feature film.
